The course layout thingie is now easier to work with and features hilly terrain as well as arbitrary roadway features and -- sprites! So basically that's Outrun, right there. When I was a kid I loved those Super Scaler games and it puts a smile on my face to think that I've managed to replicate the algorithms they used for rendering those nifty spritely environments.
I have a feeling there's not going to end up being much Gameplay in this Experimental Gameplay project, but oh well, that's really just needless nitpicking isn't it?
